Ten draws against the beep, timed in your browser.

Draw to First Shot is the drill every stage starts with, and it is where most shooters leave the most time. Train gives you a par, a random start beep and ten reps, then shows how many beat the beep and the par to run tomorrow. It takes about ten minutes, there is nothing to buy, and you can keep the set afterwards if you want to.

Not sure? Start at 2.0, or a tenth either side of a tier. The review tells you when to come down.

Before you draw

Clear the gun, then clear the room.

  1. 01Point the gun in a safe direction, with a backstop that would stop a round.
  2. 02Take the magazine out. Lock the slide back.
  3. 03Look into the chamber, then feel it with a finger.
  4. 04Move every round and every loaded magazine to another room.
  5. 05Say it out loud: this gun is unloaded.

When you finish, load deliberately and say that out loud too: this gun is loaded, practice is over.
